Three main energy thefts

energy thefts

What's stealing my energy?

I bet each of us knows someone who is always full of energy, some kind of bunny in that Duraccel commercial. Someone who is always on top of things, works full-time, does yoga, raises kids, finds time and energy for a family and even some hustle stuff.

Are they even real? Where are they taking energy?

The question itself is incorrect. The right one is: Where is my energy going?

THEY DON'T FRITTER IT AWAY.

Happiness coaches and therapists all over the world came to a conclusion, that we hardly pick up on things that drain our energy.

So let's see what those thefts are that leave us without one of the most important fuel.

  • Distracted attention.

I think it's not a secret that multitasking is no more than a fancy word for your resume. If your focus of attention is flying around uncontrolled, your brain needs three times more energy to process things.

  • Cheap and useless talks.

Or anything of negative context. Gossips, complaints, idle discussions, arguments for the sake of arguments.. I worked with a client who constantly was engaging into those kind of gloomy talks and felt super frustrated and drained after. Wanna working tip here? When someone is comparing, instead of agree with the person, or say smith like "Oh yeah, and I bet things are gonna be even worse." Just try it, and you'll see the effect :)

  • Thoughts mixer.

Two scenarios here: you keep thinking about one and the same matter over and over again, trying to find the solution RIGTH NOW, or you thoughts are just too many. The recipe here is physical activity, ideally useful - workout, cleaning the house, jogging etc.

I know by myself: when I pay attention to where my energy leaks throughout the day, I am able to control it and stay in resource.

Where is your energy leaking, my friends?
